- Room temperature kept at 20°C and humidity at 50 RH
- Robust, uninterrupted power supply with dual power feeds to each rack
- Unbroken internet connectivity via full redundancy in access infrastructure
- Top notch, 24x7x365 manned security and centralised monitoring system
- Rapid detection and suppression of fire
- Dual electrical grounding systems for protection against lightning strikes and sudden power surges
- Rent scalable racks and private vaults, and host antennas on rooftop and wide choice of bandwidths from 64 kbps to 2.5 Gbps via cross connects
Carrier neutral
AIMs is the only Internet Data Centre (IDC) in the country that offers a carrier neutral environment to international carriers who want to establish a Point of Presence in Malaysia.
- Tier 1 presence
Currently, AIMS host 25 major telecommunications carriers comprising all 14 domestic carriers and 11 key international clients. - Stronger Peering
Networks, ISPs and content and application providers form stronger peering relationships when they directly interconnect as equals at AIMs Data Centre.
Why USONYX connect with AIMS?
MyIX
AIMS is the reference site for MyIX, the Malaysian Internet Exchange, a peering infrastructure recently launched by a consortium as a solution to lower local ISPs’ costs for routing local Internet traffic, improve broadband performance and experience for Malaysian Internet customers, and attract international content providers to host their content here. An enormous 90% of the consortium is hosted at our Data Centre.
100ms sphere
AIMs centrally located in Asia to offer a high ping response time of under 100 milliseconds to any Asian country. Within the low-latency 100 ms sphere, you’ll have unrivalled high-speed interconnectivity to any of our neighbours, critical for tapping the vast Asian market.
Cross Connections
When you co-locate with us, we are seated with Malaysia’s entire domestic providers as well as international top tier telecommunication providers, ISPs, content providers, VoIP providers, MyIX, enterprise companies, financial and educational institutions.
All it takes is a cross connect cable for smooth instant interconnectivity with any of them; no packet loss, no jitter, no fluctuations, and zero latency.
Traffic
Currently, 25 telecommunication carriers are co-located in AIMS together with a growing community of ISPs, CSPs, VoIP providers and other companies. Our clients have the best possible choices on leased lines, IP-transit and peering arrangements and are directly responsible for the heavy stream of traffic that is routinely routed through AIMS:
- 90% of Malaysian traffic
- 30% of ASEAN traffic
